As you can tell from yesterday’s post, I love to look at other people’s homes/decorations. Today, Poppies At Play is hosting a home tour, so I thought I’d join in, if for no other reason than to hopefully find some more inspiration for our home!
So, come on in, y’all Sit a spell (on our un-stained-on-the-honey-do list rocking chairs)
Here’s our foyer – as I posted yesterday, I’d love to paint some horizontal stripes in there once our little munchkin can stay asleep for longer than 45 minutes at a time!
When you walk through the foyer, you’ll see our study on the right. I let my husband have free reign in this room, so you’ll notice that every free inch of wall space has something hanging there. He had to get his bachelor pad items in somewhere! I’d still like to get a rug for in here, and paint that back wall (I’m thinking the same color as our guest bathroom…)
Please excuse the pile of mail on top of the filing cabinet… just keeping it real…
No really, he really did cover all the walls… notice the Sports Illustrated issues even hanging on either side of the french doors…
Next up is the dining room – Still a lot to do in here…
I did add a rug – but the picture quality isn’t that great. Here it is anyways… Rug is from Ballard Designs. We need some paint and a better center piece. And I think I want to take down one of the pictures and hang some pretty plates on the wall. Again… maybe some day!
Next up is the family room/breakfast nook/kitchen. I love the paint color in here. It only took 8 trips to Lowe’s to get it just right.
(Please excuse College Gameday on the TV… we are big college football fans in this house)
Sorry some of these pictures are old – the mantle is obviously different in the above picture, and we’ve since added hardware to the cabinets in the kitchen…
Next up is a quick peek into our master. This is our current work in progress, so I’m on the search for new bedding and the perfect paint color. Currently, it is feeling pretty blah…
Here’s the laundry room – this was my first room in our house to paint and I really like how cheery it feels in here.
Next up is Hadley’s nursery… (this is getting to be the longest post – ever!) These were all taken before she arrived a little early, so some things have changed a bit, but you get the idea
Next stop – guest bathroom. I love the paint color in here. It’s Paprika by Valspar (I think it’s a Martha Stewart color)
On to the guest room… the paint color in here is Sherwin Williams Comfort Gray. Based on the two pictures below you can see how much it changes with the lighting. Actual color is somewhere in between the two
A couple hall way shots on our way outside…
And to make a long story even longer – our favorite place to hang out is our back patio. The landscape still has lots of growing to do (that’s the downside to buying new construction) but we love it back here!
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the other homes on Poppies at Play!

i hopped over from poppies at play to tour your home... your daughter hadley's room is amazing!!!! i LOVE it! and what's more is that if my son, sawyer, had been a girl, he would be a hadley. :)
I love your home. Your colors are definitely colors that I would pick and I even have some colors close to yours in my home. My daughters nursery was also brown and pink and she just got her big girl room since she turned 2 in Dec.. You have done a lot. I have been in my home over 2 years and you have done more than me LOL.

Yay Brittany! I loved running into your house on the linky party! Hadley's room looks great! Our master abths are almost identical in design... Hope you guys are doing great and I hope to see you and Hadley soon! Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog as well. :)
Your home is very pretty! I spotted those Texas Longhorns right off the bat. We have plenty of that floating around in our family too...Texas A&M too. :)
Thank you for taking me on the tour of your nest...LOVE your front porch...your baby girls room and your super neat kitchen.
Blessings,
Linda
You have a beautiful home! Thanks for the tour. I like the study with stuff on all the walls. Our "LSU Room" is a lot like that. I thought that was the one room that I could just go crazy & put all of our memorabilia up! Painting my laundry room has been on my to do list for awhile. I guess I'll get to it eventually.
Just popping over from Poppies at Play. Love seeing your beautiful place without having to leave mine.
Thanks for the tour.
Fondly,
Glenda
