Sunshine, Even Though it’s Cloudy Out Today

Some people might have just written “Sunshine On A Cloudy Day” for that title, but I like to go against the grain.  That, and it would have been copying Melanie, so I had to come up with something different. 

About a week ago she “awarded” me the Sunshine award…

The Sunshine Award is given to bloggers whose positivity and creativity inspire others in the blog world!

I have to say, given my recent posts complaining about Hadley’s sleep schedule, I was a little surprised to receive an award saying that my positivity is inspiring to others!  I guess we’re just pretending those posts aren’t out there…

Regardless, I was honored that Melanie included me and thought I’d play along. 

The rules, once this award is received, are as follows:

10 Q and As

1. Favorite Color: I can’t pic a favorite.  Seriously, it changes daily and depends on what the color is for.  My wardrobe is all about neutrals…

But for the home, I tend to use cooler colors like apple green and turquoise. 

1. Favorite Animal: I know some people have a favorite animal and have little trinkets of them around the house.  I am not one of those people. 
2. Favorite Number: I’m not loving these favorite questions.  When I was younger I would always say “26 because it takes 26 muscles to smile.”  Don’t quote me on that because I have no idea if it’s true or not.
3. Favorite Non-Alcoholic Drink: Although I was off of it for almost 2 years, I’ve started having the occasional Diet Dr. Pepper again.  I also love me a soy chai latte from Starbucks.
4. Facebook or Twitter? I think I might be one of the only people left who isn’t on Twitter.  I’ve been debating whether or not I need another form of social networking in my life…
5. What's Your Passion? Being a mom.  I want to do everything I can do be the best mother that I can be.
6. Getting or Giving Presents: BOTH!  My mom has always said that my love language is gifts.  I love to give gifts and also love receiving a thoughtful gift.  It doesn’t have to be extravagant for me to love it.  Matt is slowly learning this about me and recently made my day by leaving me “starbucks money” when he had to go out of town.  Even though I may have treated myself to starbucks without it, it made me feel so loved for him to think of getting me a “treat” while he was away.
7. Favorite Pattern: Ummm, do people actually have favorite patterns?  I like zebra, chevron, florals, trellis patterns…sorry, can’t pick a favorite.
8. Favorite Day of the Week: Probably Saturdays.  It’s so nice to have Matt home to help out and spend the day together as a family!
9. Favorite Flower: Okay, too many favorite questions and apparently I can’t pick favorites very well.  I’m going to pick two… tulips:

Allison at The Blogivers.  She is a real life/blog friend who always keeps it real.  She has an adorable little boy name Davis and always keeps her sense of humor, even on the tough days as a parent.

Sarah at Life {Sweet} Life.  She is one of the most creative & talented bloggers I “know” and has an adorable little boy and a little girl on the way!  How she finds the time to throw such fabulous parties and make such adorable crafts, I will never know!

Courtney at A Thoughtful Place.  I hope I can be just like Courtney when I grow up some day. ;)  She just has the most beautiful taste and always seems so put together!  Not to mention, she is the one who helped me with our master bedroom, which I promise I will be posting pictures of soon!
